Watermelon Game Beginner’s Guide
Watermelon Game (Suika Game) is a physics-based puzzle game where players drop fruits into a container and merge identical fruits to create larger ones. This guide covers the basics of Watermelon Game from controls to scoring.
How the Game Works
Watermelon Game has a simple objective: drop fruits into a box, merge matching fruits, and try to create the largest fruit — a watermelon. The game ends when any fruit crosses the top line of the container and stays there for a few seconds.
Controls
- Mouse (PC) — Move the mouse left and right to aim, click to drop the fruit
- Tap (Mobile) — Tap the screen where you want to drop the fruit
- Next Fruit — The top corner shows the next fruit that will appear after the current drop
The 11 Fruit Types
Watermelon Game has 11 types of fruits. Each fruit earns a different number of points when merged. The full list from smallest to largest:
- 🍒 Cherry — 2 points
- 🍓 Strawberry — 4 points
- 🍇 Grape — 6 points
- 🍊 Dekopon — 8 points
- 🍊 Orange — 10 points
- 🍎 Apple — 12 points
- 🍐 Pear — 14 points
- 🍑 Peach — 16 points
- 🍍 Pineapple — 18 points
- 🍈 Melon — 20 points
- 🍉 Watermelon — 22 points
Merging Basics
When 2 identical fruits touch each other, the 2 fruits combine into 1 larger fruit. For example, 2 Cherries merge into 1 Strawberry. 2 Strawberries merge into 1 Grape. This chain continues all the way up to the Watermelon.
5 Tips for Beginners
- Wait for fruits to settle — Drop the next fruit only after the previous one has stopped moving. Rushing leads to poor placement.
- Stay centered early — Dropping fruits in the center of the box gives more room to adjust later.
- Keep similar fruits close — Place identical fruits near each other so identical fruits merge quickly.
- Watch the next fruit — Plan both the current drop and the next drop before clicking.
- Don’t chase the watermelon immediately — Focus on keeping the box organized. The watermelon will come naturally through consistent merging.
Common Mistakes
- Dropping fruits too fast without waiting for them to settle
- Placing small fruits between larger fruits, which blocks potential merges
- Ignoring the next fruit indicator and making unplanned drops
- Building tall stacks on one side instead of spreading fruits evenly
Play Watermelon Game regularly and the patterns will become natural over time. 🍉
